Triad Division
The St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office Triad Division consists of a
partnership which involves support and social services such as the St. Helena Parish
Hospital and the Council on Aging who agree to work together. Our primary goals are to
reduce the criminal victimization of older citizens and enhance the delivery of law
enforcement services to this population. Triad provides the opportunity for an exchange of
information between law enforcement and senior citizens. It focuses on reducing
unwarranted fear of crime and improving the quality of life for seniors.
To achieve these goals our Triad Division makes daily phone calls to
seniors for their reassurance and weekly visits to reinforce our presence in the
community. We also provide seniors with transportation to and from medical facilities when
needed.
In addition to these support services we hold various events for the
seniors of this parish throughout the year such as our annual Triad Barbeque. Other
projects include blanket and heater drives in the winter, and a fan drive in the summer.
All of these events and projects are non-profit based and depend solely on donations.
