The Records Division assures compliance with Louisiana State laws and Sheriff's Office policies
for collection, maintenance and storage of law enforecment information that includes, but is not
limited to, case files, crime scene photos, computer data, copies of official documents
relative to law enforcement such as arrest warrants and attachments.

   This division also processess all arrest records, and processess appearance bonds on inmates
being released from custody, collects the bond money and dispurses the fees, collects traffic
fines, assists the public at the counter and on the phone, and handles numerous other
duties as they arise.   

  Records staff can also provide local criminal background checks (St. Helena Parish only).
Individuals requesting a background check must present a valid driver's license or picture ID.
